Vilnius Photo Circle 2009
Dear Colleagues,
It
is the third press photographers’ festival “Vilnius Photo Circle”
already that the Lithuanian Press Photographers club is holding this
October.
This year the festival exhibitions will be composed of the
works from the festival competition "Circle of Life" and the programme
for young photographers "Home Work".
At the end of October, (preliminary from 23 to 25), the "Photographers’ Weekend" will be held in Vilnius, which will include lectures and tutorials as well as the awarding of the winners of this festival.
The competition the "Circle of Life" is a completely new stage of this festival. It is a competition for social theme photo stories about our everyday life.
A photo story is expected to consist of between 4 and 20 photos. The deadline for this competition is 2nd October 2009.
The
best 10 to 15 of the photo stories selected by an international jury
will be exhibited during this festival and eventually published in the
journal "Photo Circle".
Our main sponsor “Nikon” has established the first prize of
this competition. The winner will get a Nikon D3, Nikon 24-70mm f/2.8,

Vilnius Photo Circle 2008.
Dear Colleagues,
We would like to invite you to take part at the International Press Photography Festival “Vilnius Photo Circle”. It will not only be a new space for introducing your works, it will offer you a possibility to enhance your skills by participating in the workshops as well.
The Festival is still very young, therefore it entirely depends upon those participating what traditions it will build in 5 or 10 years. The Festival is organised by a non-profit organisation, the Lithuanian Press Photographers Club, which is known for its photography projects in this country and beyond. Read more....
